The John Harwood partnership has had a practice in Fleet since 1946.
The Opticians working at the Fleet practice are Claire Wren, Anna Gater and Janpreet Bembey.
Today, Claire Wren is the Optometrist partner with a special interest in contact lenses. She holds a specialist qualification in contact lens fitting (DipCLP) and worked for a contact lens research company for several years.

Claire also enjoys seeing young children in practice and has taken Optometry into the classroom, talking to children about their eyes and sight, ensuring parents are aware of the importance of eye examinations at an early age. Claire offers testing with coloured overlays which may help children and adults with dyslexia or general reading difficulties.
Anna Gater joined John Harwood Optometrists in 2008. She enjoys seeing all patients, including children. She has many years of experience in Optometry.
Janpreet Bembey is the newest Optometrist to join the John Harwood team and gained her degree in Optometry from City university in 2007. Janpreet undertakes and enjoys all aspects of eyecare; eye examinations, contact lens fittings and contact lens aftercares.
Like the other three John Harwood practices, Fleet offers patients digital retinal photography which has proved an extremely useful tool for diagnosing and monitoring certain eye conditions.
Dispensing Optician, Patrick O’Kane, provides additional expertise and our extensive range of frames including designer selections, sun spectacles and sportswear ensures we have something to suit all ages. our Fleet branch has a wide range of glasses available including Ted Baker, Titanium, Mexx, Calvin Klein, William Morris London, Fendi, Flexon, Adidas, Guess and many more.

Our Fleet branch is also equipped with Visioffice. This is equipment uses some of the latest technology to ensure that you get the most out of your spectacles. Not only will it help in the frame selection process, it takes the relevant measurements with the highest degree of accuracy. It can also show you some of the features and benefits of the lenses that we recommend. Patrick will be more than happy to show you Visioffice when choosing your spectacles.
Our practice is conveniently situated on Fleet Road with easy access to local buses and public car parks.
