Lens Treatments
Crizal lenses
For their excellent quality, John Harwood Optometrists recommend Crizal Lenses. This is because Crizal lenses’ anti-reflection properties offer unmatched clarity of vision.
Reflections on your spectacle lenses cause the glare that makes working on a computer tiring for your eyes and driving at night much more difficult. Crizal lenses prevent such reflections.
Better still, they remove the unsightly reflections so that people see your eyes rather than noticing your lenses. Crizal Lenses make your spectacles look better and allow you to see better!
Crizal lenses are treated with coatings that protects the lens from everyday scratching. It also means that your lenses are easier to clean and keep clean as they naturally repel the skin oils and dust that build up to dirty your lenses. They’re so slippery that even moisture finds it difficult to get a hold meaning that they are less inclined to fogging too.
With Crizal lenses you will see as clearly as you did on the first day you bought your new lenses. It’s the ultimate in lens protection.
Optifog Lenses
Every spectacle wearer has experienced the inconvenience of their lenses fogging up.
Whether it’s getting on a bus on a cold day or wearing a face or surgical mask in the workplace, fogging can be a real issue.
It can get in the way of something as simple as drinking a coffee or even outdoor exercise, such as jogging or cycling.
Fogging always seems to be an issue at the most inconvenient moments.
It doesn’t have to be that way any longer. Essilor, the world’s leading optical manufacturer, has developed Optifog, a new lens and treatment that can make lens fogging a thing of the past.
Optifog lenses include a separate liquid activator and cleaning cloth. A drop of activator wiped onto each surface will give up to one week’s resistance from fogging.
Optifog lenses do a great deal more. Their anti-glare properties mean they give clearer vision and resist scratching too. Optifog lenses are easier to clean and they repel dust, so they stay cleaner for longer.
Spectacle wearers like Optifog lenses. Independent research has shown that four out of five were satisfied that Optifog lenses repelled fogging on their lenses. Optifog can be applied to any type of lens, including Varilux.
